Artist Statement
I'm a gay Australian part-time potter living here in Brookline with my partner, housemate, and our dog and cat. My love of nature, biology, and pathology is often reflected in my pieces, and I'm presently exploring the shell patterns of the Atlantic Leopard Crab, braided forms inspired by challah, abstract forms referencing skeletal anatomy, and microscopic tissue patterns taken from interesting specimens encountered during my day job. Most of my pots are functional (e.g. mugs), and fewer are purely sculptural.
