Artist Statement
Jaxoline is a New England artist that takes scenes from the world around her and adds a whimsical touch. Have you ever looked at the old cinema in your neighborhood and thought about what happens at that theater while we all sleep. One of Jaxoline's paintings, To See a Show, addresses that thought by painting ghosts and ghouls off to see a late night showing of one of their favorite movies at the Somerville Theater. She has also painted an Overgrown Coffeeshop, creatures in the forest, video game landscapes, and silly plant and animals card designs. Recently, she has completed her animal major arcana tarot project. All of Jaxoline's art is created in watercolor with lots of love with her fluffy black cat Lenore always nearby.
